CFB Esquimalt Naval & Military Museum welcomes donations in support of its activities. The museum has only a limited budget available to accomplish its goals - to collect, preserve, interpret and display the history and heritage of the naval presence on Canada's West Coast and of the military on Southern Vancouver Island - and to inform and educate serving members of the Canadian Forces and the general public.
The museum also aims to achieve the status of a full service museum and centre of excellence for naval and military historical research. Financial assistance is an important means of meeting these goals, and we strongly encourage individuals who support the museum's efforts to consider making a cash donation. Bequests - gifts given through wills - are also welcomed
Donation of $10 or more are acknowledged with an income receipt. The museum is able to issue receipts under Section 118.1 of the Income Tax Act. What does this mean for the donor? A tax receipt issued as part of a donation to Her Majesty can be claimed as an income tax deduction to a maximum of 100 per cent of the donor's net income.
